MARTIN: "Wonderful"

REPORTER: "Was it different?"

MARTIN: "Oh yes, nobody shooting at me. It's much nicer."

Seventy years after his last jump over Normandy, 93-year-old Jim Martin said this time it was "much nicer."

The World War II veteran joined parachutists from other countries for a re-enactment jump on Utah beach in France yesterday.

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the D-day landings along France’s northern coast, which eventually led to the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.

President Barack Obama and leaders from over a dozen countries, along with thousands of veterans, will attend events to mark the anniversary in France today
