"I just feel that there's no point fighting him because he didn't train against me and I didn't train for him and I just feel like we're amateur fighters," he said. "We don't get money, we don't get paid, and I know that the only thing I'm going to finish the fight is him to go in the hospital or get hurt. I just feel terrible so I'm just going to give him the win."

During a scheduled amateur mixed-martial arts contest in the "Prison City Fight League" at Raks Sports Bar out of Jackson, one competitor admitted defeat. But not the fighter you would have expected.

Mike Pantangco was standing toe-to-toe with Jeremy Raser and as action progressed, it was clear that Pantangco was the superior fighter. But Raser continued to charge forward against his more experienced opponent.

As the clock reached 20 seconds in the very first round, Pantangco continued striking Raser, this time with a spinning back fist that clearly rocked Raser. But instead of adding a highlight reel finish to his resume, Pantangco did something that rarely happens in any contest. He backed away from his opponent, dropped to a knee and tapped out, making Raser the winner via TKO. Raser was clearly shocked by what had just transpired and as the referee raised his hand in victory, he reached over and raised Pantangco's hand as well.

Pantangco defended his action to AXSTV's "Inside MMA."

As the two fighters stood standing inside the cage, raising the hand of the opponent, an tremendous amount of sportsmanship in a sport as violent as cage fighting.

The video has gone viral, getting over 4 million views on YouTube and reaching the front page of Yahoo.com.
