Viewer David Marvin sent in a video created from thousands of pictures that he took on Saturday, January 5, 2013. The video documents the growing amount of snow that fell in Mid-Michigan as a storm system dropped as much as 18 inches of snow in some areas.
He told News 10 "Yesterday, I set up my camera and took several thousand photos for a time lapse video to document the quickly accumulating snow in our yard. I shoveled off an area that already had significant snow and set up a special box with a ruler attached to measure the outcome. In the five hours I photographed, we got about an inch an hour."
