"He got in the hammock like he was a tourist or something. Then something spooked him and he ran right through there... Fast! And then half an hour later he come back and i saw there he is in the hammock again."
Daytona Beach At this time of year a hammock in the shade is a great place to relax. But one Florida resident found an unusual intruder lying in his hammock.
It's a black bear, perhaps tired from doing whatever a black bear does. So he found a cozy hammock in Vincent James' Daytona Beach backyard and made himself at home.
The bear has been spotted in the neighborhood since Wednesday tearing through trash cans and looking for food. But apparently he needed some down time.
Vincent James has now taken down his hammock --- maybe the intrusion was unbearable.
