Actress Amy Adams Gives Up 1st Class Seat to Soldier on Detroit Flight

Actress Amy Adams was taking a flight from Detroit to Los Angeles when she gave up her first-class seat to an American serviceman who was also on the plane. She then took his seat in coach. It would have gone unnoticed, but an ESPN reporter,Jemele Hill, who is a co-host of the ESPN show "Numbers Never Lie" on the same flight noticed, and tweeted it.


The story, shared from NBC's The Today Show, quickly went viral, being shared widely on social media.

Amy Adams is the daughter of a U.S. serviceman, and was born on a military base in Italy. She has been nominated for an Academy Award five times, and is best known for films like Enchanted, The Fighter, The Muppets, Man of Steel, and American Hustle.
