An AMBER Alert issued early Monday morning had police across the nation on the lookout for an Oakland County woman and her son. The search ended when the woman turned herself in saying she and her son were actually never abducted.
Nicola Lee Hubert and Kyle Brady, of Walled Lake, were last heard from as they were pulling into a rest area in Clinton County. The pair was later reported missing and an Amber Alert was issued.
Hubert turned herself, along with her husband and son, in to police in Tennessee. Hubert could face criminal charges for leading police to believe that she and her son were abducted and in danger.
Hubert's son and husband are free to return to Michigan, but she must stay in Tennessee in police custody.
