Richard Sheldon was checking his High Street house in Grand Ledge to see what had to be done to get it ready for his next occupant when he made the discovery.
A house filled with cat excrement, dead cats, covered in filth from wall to wall. He called the Eaton County Animal Control and the Capital Area Humane Society, who is now investigating.
He also contacted the most recent renter, who said the cats did not belong to her.
The cat corpses are on their way to MSU for testing... more on the investigation will be known after that takes place. Sheldon is assuming the house will have to be raised.
