The Lansing Car Assembly's Last Car

The 2005 Grand Am SE Sedan took some 17 hours to build. Some 2000 workers assembled 2000 parts to make it.

Jim Hyland - a GM employee with 41 years experience was given the honor of driving it out. What he calls and honor, but a sad day.

The vehicle has already been purchased... all that's know about the buyer is that it's a business somewhere in the south.

The Grand Am is the last of more than 20 million units produced by the plant over a 100 year period.
