ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (AP) -- Police in Detroit's northeastern suburbs say a driver pulled next to a 94-year-old woman and grabbed her purse, then dragged her along the pavement until she let go.
St. Clair Shores police say it happened July 18. They say the Grosse Pointe Farms woman was treated for head and hip injuries at St. John hospital.
Police say he woman's friend gave them the license plate number. They say officers arrested 52-year-old Danny Cobb of Clinton Township.
The Detroit Free Press says he was arraigned Wednesday on a larceny charge in St. Clair Shores District Court. A judge set his bond at $100,000, and he was sent to the Macomb County jail.
Cobb's preliminary examination is Aug. 20. The jail says it doesn't know if he has a lawyer.
