Suspected Heroin Dealer Arrested

A man from Pontiac was arrested in Jackson Tuesday night after narcotics officers serve a search warrant on drug charges.

According to Lt. Dave Cook, undercover officers from the Jackson Narcotics Enforcement Team had been buying heroin from the guy. They finally arrested him at his girlfriend's home in the 8000 block of South Jackson Road in Liberty Township Tuesday night.

Officers found nearly 4 grams of heroin and a stolen gun on the man during his arrest, enough for a felony charge. The drugs have a street value of $800-$1200.

Cook tells us they've been watching this guy for a while and believe he is a mid-level dealer. The suspect could be arraigned as early as Wednesday. The suspect's girlfriend could also be charged in the incident.
