Reports of a man approaching children in the Hanover area last week have turned out false.
The Michigan State Police issued a release today say that after a series of interviews, tips and contacts, its investigators had determined that the allegations were taken out of context.
Last week, the state police reported that a man had approached children on two separate occasions and asked them to get into his van. Today, it said that it was because of information provided by citizens that it was able to resolve the investigation.
