State Cracking Down on Violent Crime

The Michigan House has passed legislation requiring prison sentences of at least 25 years for people convicted of three or more serious violent crimes who commit one more.
The House voted 98-10 Wednesday to approve the bill that originated in the Senate. The measure returns to the Senate, which is expected to approve minor changes and send it to Gov. Rick Snyder.
Sponsor Sen. Rick Jones says Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette first raised the issue. The Grand Ledge Republican says it will keep repeat offenders from committing more crimes.
The bill requires courts to follow the 25-year minimum guideline if habitual offenders are convicted of serious crimes like attempted murder, criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping.

As an adult woman on the receiving end of a sexual predator.....a grown man that had been charged previously, yet allowed to plea down to a simple assault.......IT'S ABOUT TIME. These predator's take their plea deals, and the intentional deceptions of their family members as permission to continue. THERE IS NO EXCUSE for Violent Criminals to be GIVEN additional opportunities to prey upon others. EVER!! I just have a simple question......When a parent intentionally lies, and covers for his adult son's historic, and current predatory behaviors.....is there a conspiracy charge available? Violent criminals are a breed of and within their own.
