No Threat on MSU's Campus After Report of Person with Gun

There is no need for panic after MSU sent an alert out about a possible person with a weapon on campus.

MSU Police received a report of a man with a gun at Bessey Hall around 1pm Monday. The campus sent out an alert to staff and students, telling them to "secure-in-place immediately".

A few minutes later, MSU Police found the person, who was using a training weapon. It was an ROTC cadet in plainclothes, who had been handling their replica rifle in the Bessey Hall parking lot before entering the building.
