Police have finally charged someone in a December assault that put a woman in intensive care.
20-year-old Christian Griffin was arraigned on assault with intent to commit murder and domestic violence charges Tuesday.
Police found the 51-year-old victim at her Eaton Rapids apartment on Forest Street on December 8 incapacitated on the floor, with severe injuries to her face.
She has been under care since the incident and is still hospitalized in serious condition.
Griffin and an 18-year-old woman were brought in for questioning after the assault happened, but neither were arrested at the time. Griffin was on probation until April 1, so police held him on a probation violation and officially charged him with the incident Tuesday.
