LANSING (WILX)-- WILX reported Saturday night about a possible armed robbery at Happy's Inn in South Lansing.

Police are now saying there just isn't enough credible evidence.

Police told us Sunday morning that the calls they recieved about an armed robbery at Happy's Inn appears to have been a false report.

They say the residents have a history of reporting stolen prescription drugs that seem to be motivated by obtaining more from doctors.

Police also found some of the drugs that were claimed to be stolen hidden in the apartment.

The investigation is still on going.

Took me a minute, but I get it now. Doctors won't re-prescribe narcotics that were "stolen" unless there is a police report.
