Detroit police say they've seized about $2 million in drugs and cash and made five arrests during three recent raids and a car search.
Chief Warren Evans made the announcement on Monday. He says narcotics and uniformed officers recovered 48 pounds of marijuana, 27 ounces of heroin, 44 ounces of cocaine and $82,000 in cash during the raids and car search between June 6-9.
Evans says this year's seizures have exceeded totals for all of 2009, in part because the department is working to crack down on midlevel drug dealers.
