Donation Jar Thief Arrested

The man caught on tape swiping a donation jar for a sick child has been arrested.

Charlotte POlice say Michael Painter was arrested early Thursday morning.

Police got a tip, which sent them to a home in Olivet, where they found Painter, and arrested him.
ACTING ON A TIP, POLICE WENT TO A HOME IN OLIVET, WHERE THEY FOUND PAINTER, AND HANDCUFFED HIM.

Painter was seen on surveillance stealing a donation jar from the Felpausch in Charlotte.

Painter is expected to be arraigned Thursday.

    I would just like to know why the thief that put the boxes out to take for himself and pretending it was for lost children and parents to find one another, has not been mentioned more as a "scumbag"! He - this Joe guy took in the money every month and lived a lavish life style at the same time! A big MAC exercise guy! Not much mentioned here??

    I crossed path's with this dirtbag a few years back, The punk is a total thief, His Daddy was a wack job also.The 2 of them use to steal whatever they got there hands on. This will be his 3rd or 4th time at the big house.Please any judges that might read this give the skum the book!!!

    Maybe I missed it,but have you made any effort in apologizing to the gentlemen that was not involved that you originally painted out to be a thief as well.. Since no one responded to my emails. THANKS!

    You're right. Thank you Charlotte PD for doing the initial report, and seeking the warrant(for Mr. Painter; who was "caught on tape"!) Again, thank you "Eaton County Sheriff's Dept." for following-up, and catching the guy.

    I would just like to say, "Thank You" to the Eaton County Sheriff's Dept., for acting on the TIP given to them by the Olivet Police Dept., and arresting the Donation Thief. Merry Christmas Mr. Painter!
