A Michigan woman who authorities say hid a package of methamphetamine in her grandchild's diaper while being arrested has been sentenced to 10 months in jail on charges including child abuse.
Thirty-eight-year-old Lorri Lynn Compo was sentenced Friday in Montcalm County court. She pleaded guilty in a deal with prosecutors to possessing meth, maintaining a drug house and a fourth-degree child abuse.
The child abuse charge was related to the drugs in the diaper. Compo was baby-sitting her 1-year-old grandson at the time of her arrest in August. The child was checked at a hospital and given a clear bill of health.
