HOWELL, Mich. (AP) -- Nine men were nabbed over the weekend in a sting after allegedly having sexually explicit Internet chats with undercover agents posing as children.
The Michigan Attorney General's office and Livingston County Sheriff announced the arrests Monday.
The defendants were arrested at or near a "decoy" home in the Howell area.
They are accused of traveling to have sex with a child. Others also may be charged with sending pornographic images to undercover agents.
The men range in age from 24 to 53. One came from as far as Columbus, Ohio, while the rest are from Michigan.
Authorities say many of the defendants feared being caught in a sting situation and declined to come to the home, asking to meet at nearby locations instead.
