A 20-year-old Jackson man who police say bit his mother's face will be in prison for 5-10 years, that's the sentence handed down from Circuit Court Judge John McBain today.
Antwan Caldwell pleaded no contest last month to assault and domestic violence charges.
Police say Caldwell got into a dispute with his mother last December and bit her in the cheek. The mother told the courtroom today she had to receive 47 stitches.
In February, Caldwell was sentenced to 18 to 24 months in prison for violating his probation on an earlier drug charge.
