This would not have happen if more people carried concealed weapons. The thugs would be cowards because they do not want to be shot in the back.

This is exactly why i won't take a job behind a register, no matter where it is. Let me wear a vest and carry a weapon, while receiving combat pay and i'll consider.

With all the kids setting of firecrackers last night I did not notice the gunshots. but I will say the Lansing police were all over the place and quite rapidly, canvasing the neighborhood door to door, I was impressed by their quick & thorough response and in force! This impressed the fact that we all need to be aware of what's going on in our neighborhoods, know our neighbors, and local businesses. The "code of silence" or fear of being called a "snitch" that allows such criminals to get away with stuff like this needs to come to an end for each of our sakes. We all need to step up and accept some community responsibility, especially as the police get stretched even thinner.

Robberies are going to go up in the City. The bad elements of our community are going to get paid, one way or the other!
