A number of arrests have been made following a fight involving around 15 people who were attending two separate Memorial Day parties in southwestern Michigan.
The Van Buren County sheriff's office arrested five people on underage drinking charges after the melee broke out Monday morning in Paw Paw Township.
Deputies say a partygoer accused someone at the get-together across the street of making rude statements to a child.
That's when the fighting began.
Deputies say the investigation has been turned over to the county prosecutor's office and the county juvenile court for the alcohol violations as well as review for possible assault and battery charges.
Paw Paw Township is about 50 miles south-southwest of Grand Rapids.
