The man accused of killing a mother and her son during a drunken driving accident will be in court Friday.
A preliminary hearing for Daniel Adam Burwell is scheduled for Friday afternoon. He is facing eight felony counts, including two counts of second degree homicide amd two counts of operating while intoxicated causing death.
On April 20, police say Burwell drove his truck into a car occupied by Sylvia Porter, 46, and her son, Major Washington, 17, killing them. Police say Burwell then fled the scene and was found soon after.
His hearing today will decide if there is enough evidence to send his case to trial.
