Lansing Police are investigating the shooting of a teenager on Highland Street Friday evening. Officers found the victim in the street. He would not cooperate with them and was in surgery at last check.
The victim's parents were both arrested following the shooting. Police tell wilx.com the father charged officers with a baseball bat, then punched an officer. It took a taser to subdue him before he could be cuffed. Police expect the mother to face some sort of obstruction charge.
No arrests have been made in the actual shooting and police do not have any suspects yet, though it is still early in the investigation.
