Ten years ago, News 10 reported an armed robbery, abduction, and rape in Blackman Township, that went unsolved. That case is back in the spotlight.
It's normal for the Jackson County Cold Case team to reopen cases from time to time. In this case, the victim is still available to possibly help and there is a sketch of the suspect which gives them more of a chance to solve it.
Here is the suspect-- or what he would have looked like 10 years ago.
On march 8, 1998 a suspect fitting this description robbed the Jackson Crossing Shell station on West Avenue and Boardman Road. He then forced the clerk to drive to an alley in Jackson where he raped her.
Keep in mind, the suspect would now be in his late 30's early 40's. At the time of the attack, he was 190 to 200 pounds, is about 5'7 or 5'8, and was a smoker.
He also had some scars on his arm and may have been missing some upper front teeth.
