The Spartans loss to UNC Monday night in the NCAA Championship didn't stop fans from crowding in East Lansing's Cedar Village.

1700 people gathered overnight on the 200 block of Cedar Street.

At around 1:50a.m. the crowd had dispersed.

Police say the snow and cold weather helped curb the celebrations.

East Lansing Police tell News 10 they arrested 21 people Monday night into Tuesday morning, compared to the nearly 60 following Saturday's Final Four match-up.

4 of those very arrests were made for attempted arson.

In a 2 hour period following the game, 12 fires were reported in East Lansing.

The arson activity started at around 11:40pm in Stoddard Park, with a mattress up in flames.

230 police officers from surrounding agencies were on hand into the overnight hours to help the ELPD.

How in the hell were there even 21 arrests? At 12:30am the news showed that there were only about 21 people even in Cedar Village and Nobody downtown.

21 arrested- what a headline. How many were NOT arrested? Some things never change- when I was in college the press did their best to make students look bad, they are still doing their best to make students look bad.
