CAPAC, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say a 24-year-old Capac man broke into a gas station and called 911 on himself, telling a dispatcher he wanted to be taken to jail to spend time with his incarcerated brother.
St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon tells the Times Herald of Port Huron that deputies obliged, arresting him early Tuesday in Capac and taking him to the county jail in Port Huron Township.
Authorities say the man, whose name wasn't released pending an arraignment, told St. Clair County dispatch about 4:30 a.m. from inside the gas station that he had had broken in about 20 minutes earlier.
Capac is a village located about 45 miles northeast of Detroit.
