Police are investigating a report of shots fired near or in a convenience store on Michigan Avenue between Hungerford and Claire streets. Lansing Township police are running the show and the only thing they're saying is that injuries sustained in the incident were non life threatening. I live on Michigan Ave. and noticed City of Lansing and Township police blocking Michigan Ave. at MLK and further down towards the party store. They were driving up and down Michigan obviously looking for the shooter for the better part of the evening. It's a little disconcerting thinking there may be someone running through your neighborhood that has shot someone. I still don't know if this person has been caught. Just a few days before the swat team was on our street at the crackhouse that has been in operation for several years. It's my opinion that our neighborhood could be much safer.

Who is investigating this shooting? Lansing Township Police Department? Lansing Township Police Department has no detectives. Another crime gone unsolved in our community. When will Lansing Township give up pretending to be a real municipality and throw in the towel?!?! Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock
