A Lansing man is facing several charges after an employee catches him trying to break into a local bar.
36-year-old Christopher Lavoy is charged with breaking and entering, felonious assault and possession of burglary tools.
Police believe he may be linked to other burglaries in Mason and Wacousta.
Police say an employee at "Auggie's Pub & Grill" on Miller Road heard Lavoy trying to pry open one of the doors early Saturday morning.
The employee chased Lavoy and was struggling to detain him when police arrived.

As a business owner. I think that anyone that attempts to steal from someone in this economy should be punished to the max of the law. Everyone has it tough right now and it is idiots like hime that make it worse. On top of that, would you trust a guy like this in your neighborhood around your kids? This guy belongs behind bars and to get some therapy while in prison!

He broke into a business and assaulted the employees, but isn't a criminal? Ok... yeah sounds like he's really trying hard to straighten his life out.

He needs some help. He is not a criminal he has been trying to straighten his life. There has to be help for the people that need help other than prison time.
