Eaton County Sheriff's deputies were alerted to a breaking and entering at a home in the 86-hundred block of Anderson Highway.
The homeowners are in Florida for the winter, and neighbors noticed something wasn't right.
Besides stealing a number of items, the thief also ransacked the house, and a nearby pole barn.
Neigbhors did report seeing a suspcious black pickup in the area the past few weeks.
Ingham County deputies are investigating a couple of malicious destruction of property complaints.
In the 33-hundred block of Jolly road, in Alaeidon Township, a car window was broken out.
And in Wheatfield Township, the one-hundred block of Linn road, a homeowners front window was broken out.
Moving now to Clinton county, deputies responded to the 12-thousand block of West Walker, where a number of mail boxes were destroyed,, along with haloween decorations.
In the small town of Eagle, someone broke into the Eagle Inn on west Grand River highway,, and stole a large screen t-v.
Another small town crime, a thief broke into the Ovid cafe, on South Main street, and stole money from the cash register.
