Michigan motorists who donate vehicles to charities can continue claiming a state tax credit.

Gov. Jennifer Granholm on Monday announced the signing of an extension of a state law that otherwise would have expired at the end of this tax year.

Taxpayers may continue claiming a state income tax credit of up to $50 for single filers and up to $100 for married couples filing a joint return.
