State Budget Cuts Threaten Public Safety
The state's budget woes are pushing legislators into tough decisions -- like cutting its revenue-sharing program. The victim? Local communities, and the police and fire units that keep them safe.

It is time to create a volunteer corp for people who are collecting unemployment. These people can do the jobs in the city parks and communities that the cities are paying someone to do.

They ned to keep these people work and cut spending else where like the 4 millions to lease that new building that is not needed. Cuts can be done but not for the public service people like fire and police.

Cry, Cry, Cry you cant have everything, people are loosing there jobs. Where are people going to get the money. Maybe they should get rid of some deskjockies and keep the police.
