Want to stop unwanted faxes from piling up?
Several State and Federal laws are in place that prohibit unsolicited fax advertisements. Now the exception here is if you have an established business relationship with the advertiser. If you want to fight back against the junk faxes there are several things you can do.
The Michigan Attorney Generals Office recommends you call the fax removal number provided. Also provide the company with written notice of the unsolicited fax. If there is no contact information on the fax you can file a complaint with the FCC.
Now if the company sends you a fax advertisement after you have sent written notice you do have the right under federal law to sue the company. You can either recover the actual monetary loss or 500 dollars - whichever is greater.

These UNWANTED Faxes are more then annoying! They use your paper and your ink, and sometimes are 5 pages long. And after all of that, they never have any phone or fax # so you can advise them NOT to send them anymore. It is worse then EMAIL SPAM!
