Flood Advisory Issued For Some Area Rivers

A Flood Advisory has been issued for the Grand River at Ionia, the Looking Glass River near Eagle and the Maple River at Maple Rapids. A combination of heavy rainfall, melting snow and a frozen ground will cause rivers to rise over the next few days.

Grand River at Ionia
Flood Stage 21 Feet. River will rise to 14.2 Feet by Friday morning. Minor flooding is possible near the fairgrounds.

Looking Glass River at Eagle
Flood Stage 7 Feet. The river is expected to rise to 5.1 Feet by Wednesday morning.

Maple River at Maple Rapids
Flood Stage 9 Feet. The river is expected to rise to 8 Feet by Early Sunday.
