Warmest Meteorological Spring on Record!

Posted: $util.date("h:mm a MMM d, yyyy",$story.contentLiveDate,$timeZone)
Reporter: National Weather Service Grand Rapids

A meteorological spring is defined as March 1 through May 31. The numbers have been crunched for this period and the results show record warmth across Mid-Michigan. This is attributable in part to the unparalleled March warmth this year, with the largest monthly departures from normal of any month on record being observed during that month. In addition, May was several degrees above normal. So, in spite of a fairly typical April in between, the spring turned out to be record setting. Below are the top 10 warmest springs in Lansing.
