Weather records are easy to figure out for certain holidays like Christmas and the Fourth of July since they occur on the same date each year. However, Mother’s Day is a bit more difficult as it occurs on a different date each year. Mother’s Day officially began in 1914 when President Woodrow Wilson made the official announcement proclaiming Mother's Day as a national holiday that was to be held each year on the second Sunday of May. We have done some research and found the day that Mother’s Day has occurred on each year back through 1914. We then went through our data to determine some weather records for Mother’s Day from 1914 through the present.
