It's Official: Warmest March Ever...By Far

April has arrived and the numbers for March 2012 have been tallied. After numerous record highs were shattered during the middle of the month (14th through the 22nd), it should come as no surprise that it will go down as the warmest March ever on record.
Below are the average temperatures for the month in Lansing compared to the previous top four warmest March's on record. Notice how the previous number one spot was exceeded by several degrees, with March 2012 blowing away the previous warmest March on record which occured way back in 1945.
