ESPN is reporting Tuesday that the Big Ten football re-alignment for the 2014 conference season will have Michigan State in the Eastern division along with Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State among others. The only teams left to assign would be Purdue and Indiana, one in the East and one in the West. The moves are not official and will not be until early this summer. It means the Spartans would have to top the East standings over tghe Buckeyes, Wolverines and Nittany Lions among others, just to make it to the Big Ten title game.
