The Philadelphia Phillies have signed former Detroit Tiger Delmon Young to a one year contract for $750,000. The 27-year old hit .267 wikth 27 doujbles, 18 homers and 74 RBI's last season. He was the MVP of the American League championship series, batting .313 with three homers and a team high nine RBI's during the 13 playoff games.
