Send NHL Hockey Talks Break Off

The National Hockey League has rejected an 8-year offer from the players' association Thursday and talks have now broken off. No new negotiating sessions are scheduled. The owners left a voice message for the players representatives saying the latest offer has been rejected. The sides met for a mere hour Thursday after eight hours of meetings on Wednesday.
