Mid Michigan has another London gold medal winner besides DeWitt's Jordyn Wieber. Flint's 17-year old Claressa Shields won the middleweight title in women's boxing Thursday. Shields beat a Russian 19-12. Shields won her semi-final bout Wednesday 29-15. This is the first year women's boxing has been a medal sport at the Olympics and Shields is the only one of 12 American women to medal.
