Besides Jordyn Wieber, mid Michigan may produce another gold medalist from the London Olympic games. Flint's Claressa Shields has advanced to the gold medal match in women's boxing.
She is a middlweight who diminated her opponent from Kazakhstan in the semi-finals and will face a Russian. Flyweight Marlen Esparza has earned a bronze medal in the London games.
