The University of Michigan Board of Regents has approved a $9 million renovation at Schembechler Hall and the addition of a $2.8 million marquee just outside the football stadium. Both proposals passed at a Thursday meeting. Michigan athletic director David Brandon says the department will raise the funds needed to pay for both projects. Schembechler Hall will have 7,000 square feed added during the project. The new marquee will be installed with video and audio and a huge sign along Stadium Boulevard near Michigan Stadium to promote upcoming events.
