Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander will be the starter for the American League in Tuesday's all star game in Kansas City. Verlander has a 9-5 record with a 2.58 earned run average and 128 strike outs in 132 innings. He'll face Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants. Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder are the other Tigers on the American League roster.
