Burnett Leads Michigan Women's Tourney

Katie Burnett, 22, fired a 6 under par 66 Monday to take a five shot lead after one round of the Michigan PGA Women's open golf tournament in Thompsonville. Burnett plays in her first U. S. Open next week in Kohler, Wisc. The Georgia native finished her career at South Carolina last week by finishing fifth in the NCAA championships. Justinas Yu, a 26 year old Las Vegas golfer who played at Northwestern shot 71 and no one else in the field of 63 broke par. There are two more rounds to play.
