The Okemos girls soccer team used a goal in each half to beat Troy 2-nothing in the Division 1 state title game at DeMartin Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Emma Baker scored on a pass from Kristelle Yewah to give Okemos the lead in the first half. About 10 minutes into the second half sophomore Ashton Miller juked her defender twice to get a perfect cross to Liz Mullin who doubled the Okemos advantage.

In their 7 tournament games the Chieftians did not allow a goal.
