Michigan's softball team lost at Alabama 4-1 Thursday night, the first game of the Super Regional series against the top ranked Crimson Tide. It's a best of three series, with game two set for Friday night. Michigan trailed 4-0 when Ashley Lane doubled home a run in the 6th. The Wolverines had the tying run at the plate in the 7th inning, but could not score again. The series winner goes on to the College World Series in Oklahoma City.
