NCAA Golf Regionals, Day Two

Michigan's Matt Thompson is tied for 12th place after two rounds of the 54-hole NCAA men's Regional Golf Championships being played in Ann Arbor at the U of M course. the final round is Saturday. Thompson has fired rounds of 71-69 for a two under par total.
Michigan State's Dan Ellis moved from 65th place to 59th after a 73 on Friday, two over par. Ellis, like Thompson playing as an individual beacuse their teams did not qualify, fired a 79 opening day round and is now 10 over par through 36 holes.
