New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson is now also purchasing the NBA's New Orleans Hornets and will keep the franchise in its present location. the NBA has been trying to sell the Hornets since it purchased the team from then owner George Shinn in 2010. The purchase price is a reported $338 million. The Hornets have a new lease for their arena through the 2024 season. The sale must be approved by the NBA board of governors which meets next Friday.
