In Lakeland Thursday night, Detroit Tigers' pitching ace Justin Verlander gave up three home runs and the Houston Astros won a 7-2 spring training game.
Verlander allowed four earned runs in 5 2/3 innings. He has a 4.74 earned run average this spring. Victor ZMartinez doubled and singled for the Tigers. Lucas Harrell, who will pitch the second game of the seaon for Houston, gave up two runs in five innings.
